Strong earthquake rattles Nicaragua

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Nicaragua on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, according to CNN. 

The quake was centered some 11 miles southeast of Larreynaga, northwest of the capital city of Managua, at a depth of 6.2 miles.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
