ARFD not to make part of new government
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun – ARFD Party will not make part of the new government.
Armenia is currently facing serious domestic and foreign challenges, the Supreme Council of the ARFD said in a statement.
“Because of the socioeconomic policy implemented by the authorities, the overwhelming majority of our citizens lost their confidence in the future and demand radical reforms. We believe that the existing problems can only be solved by creating an atmosphere of solidarity in the country and ensuring sociopolitical consolidation. ARFD has formulated its ideas of systemic changes, a state of a new quality, and good governance, which are expressed in a seven-provision package of social and economic goals. We are convinced that their step-by-step but efficient implementation will help the country out of the difficult situation and ensure a free and prosperous life for our citizens. We will consistently demand the implementation of this program, seeking to unify various strata of society and political forces around our principles,” the statement of ARDFD reads.
“The ARFD Supreme Council declares that the party will not make part of the new government. We will follow the actions of the authorities and condition the format of cooperation with them by the degree of the proposed package’s implementation. ARFD will continue its activities as an opposition force,” the statement says.
