Defense Ministry discusses air defense troops upgrading

A regular sitting of the Armenian Defense Ministry’s advisory board took place today to discuss issues of air defense upgrading. The sitting was chaired by Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian, according to the press service of the ministry.

S. Ohanian underlined the importance of air defense troops in ensuring the fighting efficiency of the national army. He noted with satisfaction that air defense troops are one of the most efficient units of the Armenian armed forces and in terms of modern equipment, their potential is at an exceptional level.

The head of air defense troops management Colonel Armen Vardanian made a report. He presented the current situation, noting that much work has recently been done to ensure safe and uninterrupted use of armaments and military equipment and improvement of the personnel’s professional skills.

The defense minister summarized the results of the advisory board’s sitting and gave instructions on further activities.
