Three candidates to struggle for post of National Assembly speaker

Three candidates for the post of National Assembly speaker have been proposed. The parliament is now discussing the issue of electing these candidates.

As is well-known, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan nominated the head of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction Galust Sahakian as parliamentary speaker. Deputy of Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Hrant Bagratian nominated himself for that post today. Tevan Poghosian of Heritage faction announced that they faction fields Ruben Hakobian as a candidate.

So three candidates – Galust Sahakian, Ruben Hakobian and Hrant Bagratian will struggle for the post of NA speaker.
