Prime minister introduces new nature protection minister to staff
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamian introduced today the newly appointed Minister of Nature Protection Aramais Grigorian to the ministry staff, the press office of the Armenian government said. H. Abrahamian thanked former minister Aram Harutyunian for his longtime cooperation, saying that he will soon be transferred to another job.
Aram Harutyunian, who has headed the ministry in the past 7 years, called the environmental protection sphere very sensitive. In his words, the ministry has an active and professional staff and they along with the new minister are capable of fulfilling their tasks.
Expressing a high opinion of the new minister’s experience and knowledge, Hovik Abrahamian stressed the need for cooperation with NGOs.
“I am sure that you will do your best to prevent violations of the law and involve NGOs and civil society members in the ongoing reforms,” the prime minister said.
He congratulated Aramais Grigorian on his appointment and wished him success.
For his part, A. Grigorian thanked the president and prime minister for their trust, stating that team work will allow the ministry to reach success in its activities.
