Rouhani: Iran’s priority is strengthening stability and peace in region

“Iran’s priority is strengthening stability and peace in the region,” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated today at the meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, according to the Iranian president’s press service.

Hassan Rouhani said Iran is ready to receive Armenian investors and encourage Iranian businessmen to make investment in Armenia.

Speaking about regional problems, the Iranian president said: “If there are problems between countries, they should be resolved through dialog. Peace and stability in the Caucasus stem from the interests of all the regional countries”.

The Armenian foreign minister said for his part that the implementation of bilateral energy projects will open new prospects of promoting Armenian-Iranian relations.

He also conveyed the Armenian president’s written message to the president of Iran.
