H. Abrahamyan: Armenia and EU will continue deepening cooperation
Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received today the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Ambassador Traian Hristea.The prime minister stated that the new government will continue active cooperation with the European Union and take efficient steps to deepen it, according to the government press service.
Traian Hristea congratulated Hovik Abrahamyan on his appointment as Armenian prime minister and highly appreciated constructive cooperation with H. Abrahamyan during as term as National Assembly speaker. According to T. Hristea, it is a good basis for effective joint work and progress in the future.
Traian Hristea reaffirmed the EU’s readiness to continue assisting with reforms in Armenia and to raise bilateral cooperation to a higher level.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects of the further deepening of Armenia-EU relations. They stressed that the development of cooperation should stem from the joint declaration adopted during the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius in November 2013.
The declaration confirms the bilateral obligations of the sides to continue their active cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest and the need to update the Armenia-EU Action Plan.
