NKA president awards medal to fallen soldier

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed today a decree, posthumously awarding the Medal for Service in Battle to Junior Sergeant of the NKR Defense Army Arthur Ohanjanyan, the press service of the NKR President’s Office reported.

Serviceman Arthur Ohanjanyan, 20, died of a gunshot wound on his frontline position as a result of gunfire opened by the Azerbaijani side yesterday. The incident occurred in the southern direction of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

An investigation is underway.
