NKR president meets school Olympiad winners

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) Bako Sahakyan received today the Artsakh participants of a school Olympiad held in Armenia. These pupils took prize-winning places and received diplomas in the final phase, according to the press service of the NKR President Office.

The president congratulated the schoolchildren, their teachers and executives of the republic’s education sphere on their victories and proper representation of Artsakh.

Bako Sahakyan gave valuable gifts to 27 pupils of NKR schools who took prize-winning places. He handed cash awards to teachers of those pupils who received 1st and 2nd degree diplomas.

The president underlined the importance of Olympiads in school subjects in terms of encouraging children, improving the educational level in the NKR and overcoming the existing problems. In his words, the state will continue paying special attention to education.
