Lars motorway closed, repairs underway

Lars Motorway was still closed at 9:30 am on May 22, repair work is underway, Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

Repairs began on May 17 after a collapse occurred on Gveleti-Darial road, on the bank of the Terek River.

The gas pipeline, through which Russia supplies natural gas to Armenia, was damaged as a result of the collapse.
