Armenia reaffirms readiness to assist NATO initiatives in Afghanistan

At the invitation of NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, an Armenian delegation led by Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan attended a joint meeting of defense ministers of 28 member states of NATO and the partners from participating states of the NATO-led ISAF mission in Afghanistan. The meeting was held in Brussels today.

The participants discussed issues related to the new NATO-led mission in Afghanistan – Resolute Support mission that aims to train, advise and assist the Afghan security forces, the press service of Armenian Defense Ministry said.

The Armenian side again reaffirmed its readiness and capacities to assist NATO initiatives in Afghanistan.
