Serzh Sargsyan meets Austrian President Heinz Fischer

During his official visit to Austria, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met today with his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer. The heads of the two states summarized the results of their meeting at a joint press conference, according to the press service of the Armenian president.

The meeting of the two presidents was followed by talks of the official delegations, following which a number of documents on the development of cooperation in various spheres were signed.

In particular, the two presidents signed the Declaration on Friendly Relations and Partnership between Austria and Armenia. Then, in their presence, the Joint Action Program on Cooperation in Tourism between Armenian Ministry of Economy and Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy as well as the Agreement on Air Transport between the governments of Armenia and Austria were signed.

Other agreements were also signed during the visit: the Export Credit Agreement and the Credit Agreement between Armenian Finance Ministry and Erste Bank with the aim of financing re-equipment of Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall and two other agreements between Armenian Ministry of Culture and Wagner Brno Company (Austria) on equipment procurement.

Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Heinz Fischer gave a joint press conference to summarize the results of the talks and answered questions of reporters.
