Transport minister: Road via Upper Lars checkpoint to open June 14-15

Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan said at the government session today that the road via Upper Lars border checkpoint, which is the land communication route between Armenia and Russia through the territory of Georgia, will open on June 14 or 15.

“I keep in touch with Georgian officials. They promised that the road would open today. But work was suspended by heavy rains. So they promised to open the road on June 14-15,” the minister said.
