Police arrest Kyureghyan who fired shots in court yard

Hayk Kyureghyan has been charged under Article 258 part 4 (hooliganism) of Armenia’s Criminal Code in connection with the recent shooting outside a Yerevan courthouse.

H. Kyureghyan was arrested, the Armenian police said.

On June 12 Hayk Kyureghyan got on the roof a car parked in the court yard and began firing at policemen who were later given medical aid.

At that time the trial of Shant Harutyunyan was underway in the court.
