OEK Party intends to apply to court against PSRC decision

Orinats Yerkir Party (OEK) intends to apply to court concerning the recent decision of Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC). OEK, which recently withdrew from the ruling coalition to become an opposition party, is going to file a lawsuit to Armenia’s Administrative Court in connection with the gas and electricity tariffs in Armenia.

The decision was taken today at OEK political board’s sitting chaired by the party leader Arthur Baghdasaryan, following a discussion of the July 1 decision of PSRC to raise electricity tariffs by 3.85 drams in Armenia on August 1, 2014. The political board of OEK Party considers the commission’s decision unfounded, according to the press service of OEK.

Besides, OEK political board decided to stage a rally in Liberty Square of Yerevan at 6:00 pm on July 18. OEK representatives will give a press conference on July 4 to present the party’s position on a number of urgent problems.
