Several officers awarded medals by presidential decree

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed today a decree awarding medals to a number of servicemen, the presidential press service said.

Lieutenant Colonel Vardges Magaryan, deputy commander of a military unit, and Lieutenant Colonel Haykaz Ghazaryan of the same unit received ‘For Service to the Motherland’ Medal 2nd class for bravery and courage during the defense of the Homeland. The unit commander Colonel Alexander Tsakanyan was awarded ‘For Courage’ Medal. The deputy commander of the military unit Lieutenant Colonel Romik Sargsyan received “For Service in Battle’ Medal.
