Foreign ministers of Armenia and Argentina meet in Buenos Aires

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan, who is on a visit to Buenos Aires as a member of the Armenian delegation led by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, met with his Argentine counterpart Hector Timerman, Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
Ministers Nalbandyan and Timerman expressed confidence that the official visit of President Sargsyan will give renewed impetus to the expansion of bilateral cooperation in various spheres.

In the context of the development of bilateral ties, the two ministers stressed the role of the many thousand strong Armenian community in Argentina.

Speaking about Armenian-Argentinean relations, Edward Nalbandyan said the fact the Armenian embassy in Buenos Aires was the first one opened by Armenia in Latin America shows that Armenia attaches importance to the development of its cooperation with Argentina.

The sides discussed bilateral agenda issues, exchanged opinions about the strengthening of cooperation in international organizations, and addressed international problems.
