Armenian president congratulates Francois Hollande on national holiday
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited today the French embassy in Armenia on the occasion of France’s national holiday, the presidential press service said.
The president congratulated French Ambassador Henri Reynaud, the embassy staff and the French people on the Bastille Day.
Serzh Sargsyan also sent a congratulatory message to French President Francois Hollande.
“I warmly recall your state visit to Armenia this May. It gave renewed impetus to the high level dialog between Armenia and France and the consistent strengthening of links of the two peoples”.
The president expressed confidence that efficient implementation of the agreements reached during the visit will contribute to the further development of Armenian-French cooperation in trade and economic sphere.
S. Sargsyan noted that the trust based on a historical similarity and shared values is a solid basis for progress in all directions.
“I am convinced that stable cooperation of Armenia and France will continue to strengthen and deepen in the bilateral and multilateral formats, including within the framework of European structures, for the benefit of our peoples,” the message reads.
The Armenian president also thanked France as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair for contribution to a peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict and establishment of peace and stability in the region.
