NKR Defense Army: Azerbaijan violated ceasefire 500 times

The situation on the Line of Contact remained tense on August 3 and earlier today, although the Azerbaijani side did not attempt sabotage-reconnaissance raids, Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic said in a statement.

“Azerbaijani troops continued violating intensively the ceasefire, using large caliber guns. On August 2-4 Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire about 500 times, with over 8,500 shots fired at Armenian frontline positions,” the statement reads.

The frontline units of NKR Defense Army are in control of the situation and take retaliatory measures only in case of emergency.
