Paris urges Yerevan and Baku to respect ceasefire

A spokesman for French Foreign Ministry made today a statement in connection with the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone.

“France is concerned over the increase in bloody incidents on the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and on the Line of Contact of Nagorno Karabakh that has led to the loss of many lives,” reads the statement issued by the French embassy in Armenia.

“The Nagorno Karabakh problem can only be resolved through negotiations. France urges the sides to respect the ceasefire and immediately take measures to reduce tension and avoid new incidents,” the statement says.
