At trilateral meeting Aliyev to account for military venture

“A trilateral meeting of Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan will be held here, in Sochi tomorrow, during which President Ilham Aliyev will have to explain the meaning of the military venture recently initiated by Azerbaijan and his xenophobic rhetoric,” Narek Nikoghosyan, aide to the Armenian president’s spokesman, wrote on his Facebook page.

The press service of Armenian president reported earlier that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan would pay a working visit to Sochi on August 8 where he would meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 9. It was noted that the Armenian side expressed readiness to also hold a trilateral meeting with Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, in order to discuss issues of a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict and the situation that formed due to the escalation of tension by Azerbaijan in recent days.
