Seyran Ohanyan receives US ambassador John Heffern

Armenian Defense Seyran Ohanyan received today U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern and the newly appointed Defense Attache, Colonel Anthony Sebo, Armenian Defense Ministry said.

Colonel Anthony Sebo handed letter of recommendation from US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel to Minister Seyran Ohanyan.

S. Ohanyan and J. Heffern discussed bilateral Armenian-US cooperation, as well as issues of defense cooperation in the NATO format, particularly within the framework of the NATO-initiated platform of cooperation with partners and development of cooperation.

Ambassador Heffern assured S. Ohanyan that the US will continue developing defense cooperation with Armenia in all the spheres of mutual interest. .

The sides also discussed issues related to regional security.
