168 Hours: Date set for joint rally of four non-government parties

‘168 Hours’ paper’s sources say that it was decided at the recent meeting of the leaders of Armenian National Congress (HAK) and Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Gagik Tsarukyan, that the upcoming joint rally of the four non-government parliamentary parties will be held on October 17. Representatives of ‘the four’ will hold a regular sitting tomorrow to discuss the rally and then its date will be announced.

The paper learned that members of Heritage Party proposed holding the rally on October 10, but BHK and HAK decided to stage it a week later. “ARFD and Heritage Parties have to take note of that decision. It is noteworthy that the issue of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Union is expected to be decided on October 10. No surprise that HAK and BHK rejected the proposal to hold the rally on that day. Moscow might have misinterpreted it,” the paper writes.
