Control Chamber conducts checkups at Yerevan Municipality

Armenia’s Control Chamber recently conducted checkups at Yerevan Municipality.

Sources of ‘Chorrord Ishkhanutyun’ paper say employees of the Control Chamber examined financial documents concerning asphalt paving, construction and repairs of streets and sidewalks, as well as garbage disposal.

“As is well known, kickbacks and money laundering are most widespread in street reconstruction. It is no accident that the municipality has repaired the same streets in Yerevan in recent years,” the paper notes.
