Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II to arrive in Armenia

At the invitation of the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, the new Patriarch of Antioch and all the East Ignatius Aphrem II (Kerim) will arrive in Armenia late Friday for a three-day visit, according to the Information Services of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

At 10 :00 am on October 11, the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Patriarch of Antioch will visit the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims where a Divine Liturgy in memory of the perished Armenians and Assyrians will be celebrated.

On October 12, following the Divine Liturgy in the Mother See the two religious leaders will hold a joint prayer for peace in the Middle East.
