Amatuni Virabyan: Everything just begins with Armenian Genocide Centennial
The program of measures that Armenia’s National Archive plans to implement in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will involve three stages, Director of the National Archive Amatuni Virabyan told reporters today.
In his words, the first stage envisages publication of documents in Armenian and foreign languages. “In the second part of the program, collections of stories will be released about the losses of the Armenian people during the Genocide in terms of the material and cultural heritage. And the third stage is the publication of a book with 1915 Genocide victims’ names and the places where they died,” Virabyan said.
According to him, the process of the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the implementation of relevant measures will not end with the 100th anniversary, quite the opposite – everything is just beginning.
