Tsarukyan: Armenia needs new quality power and new politics
Armenia needs new quality power and new politics, and the changes are inevitable, the leader of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Gagik Tsarukyan said today during the joint rally of three non-pro-government parties in Liberty Square of Yerevan.
“I am aware of your problems, hardships and suffering, but I also know how to deal with them. I am one of you and I will always be with you,” Tsarukyan said.
According to him, after the 2009 crisis more than 15 thousand companies closed in Armenia, millions of people lost their jobs, with emigration reaching an appalling level.
“People live in extremely hard conditions and the problem should be solved by taking actions. Most people have to borrow money. It is a sin and a shame. Working people should be assisted. I am not afraid of any problems. I have encountered difficulties and injustice, and I will keep my word,” Gagik Tsarukyan stated.
The BHK Party leader said victory belongs to the people. “We don’t do anything illegal. It is important to make common cause. We should not hurry - hastiness will not result in success. I will be at your side until all problems are solved,” Tsarukyan said.
He added that despite the current situation, the authorities are trying to ensure their reproduction by means of constitutional reforms.
“New quality power and new politics are necessary. Changes are inevitable in Armenia. We are in favor of a peaceful transition. We are ready for any scenario. We do not call for a Maidan. Historical changes are important, and Prosperous Armenia Party has no enemies within the country. A change of power and early elections will take place under pressure of the people,” G. Tsarukyan said.
