Temperatures to drop sharply in Armenia as cold air mass approaches
The weather will abruptly change in Armenia on October 26-28 due to a cold air mass approaching from the Arctic, according to the weather service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Precipitation is expected everywhere – it will snow in mountainous regions, Lori, Tavush and Syunik provinces of Armenia and in the Republic of Artsakh. Rain is forecast in other regions.
On Oct. 26-28 temperatures will drop by 17-18 degrees in Lori, Tavush, Syunik and Artsakh and by 7-9 degrees in other provinces. Northeast winds could reach 5-10 meters per second. Temperatures will not change noticeably on October 25.
Precipitation is not expected in Yerevan on Oct. 25, the night of Oct. 26, and Oct. 29. Occasional rain is possible in the city on Oct. 26 (afternoon and evening), Oct.27 and Oct. 28.
Temperatures today will be +18+20 in the afternoon, +11+13 in the evening, +7+9 at night.
