Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan meets Jordan’s King Abdullah II
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan paid today an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at the invitation of Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein. President Sargsyan and King Abdullah II had a meeting in the King’s residence, according to the presidential press service.
Serzh Sargsyan expressed his gratitude for the warm reception given to the Armenian delegation during the visit to Jordan.
During talks in a friendly atmosphere, the interlocutors discussed prospects for developing the relations of the two states and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of spheres. The sides agreed to promote the political dialog and raise cooperation in various spheres to a qualitatively new level.
The heads of two states addressed the deepening of economic cooperation and more efficient use of the existing potential. They reaffirmed that the relationship between the two countries is based on good will, mutual respect, trust and historical friendship of the two peoples.
The one-on-one meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Jordan’s King Abdullah II was followed by the signing of documents on deepening and strengthening of Armenian-Jordanian cooperation in several spheres, with the participation of the delegations of the two countries.
On behalf of King Abdullah II, a working dinner was given in honor of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan during the official visit to Jordan.
Armenian President and King of Jordan proposed official toasts and touched upon the Armenian-Jordanian friendship and historical relations of the two friendly peoples, the current level of interstate relations and their development prospects.
