Armenian PM, Lithuanian FM discuss wide-range of issues
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received on Tuesday Foreign Minister of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius, who is in Armenia to participate in the Francophonie summit, government’s press service reports.
The PM welcomed the Lithuanian FM and highlighted the continuous development of the Armenian-Lithuanian relations, including in the sidelines of international organizations.
Pashinyan stressed the necessity of promoting economic partnership and added that the Armenian government is interested in the presence of Lithuanian business in the Armenian market. Pashinyan added that reforms are being carried in Armenia aimed at improving business environment which in its turn will ensure the security of investments and free and transparent business environment.
Linas Linkevičius noted that he attentively followed the political developments in Armenia and highlighted their peaceful nature. He expressed confidence that the reforms carried out in Armenia will give new impetus to the bilateral economic relations.
Speaking about Armenia-EU relations, Nikol Pashinyan attached significance to the ratification of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement in the nearest future.
The head of the government stressed that Armenia attaches great significance to the development and expansion of partnership with the EU in different directions.
During the meeting the sides also referred to regional issues, exchanged ideas over Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.
Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the establishment of relevant atmosphere for the negotiation process and stressed the necessity of exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.
