Velvet revolution in Armenia not just political one: Armenia’s PM
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a speech at the closing of the business forum of International Organization of La Francophonie in Yerevan Tumo center on Wednesday.
Welcoming the guests, the PM said that Armenia is in a phase where it once again proved its loyalty to the values like freedom, democracy, lawfulness, human rights, the values which are Francophone's basis.
“This velvet revolution was not just political one, it was revolution of values. It is important to note that this revolution would not have any value unless we make a new economic revolution. In this regard, we are currently in a very important phase when we must ensure economic success for Armenia with clear rules for all those who want to start economic activity in Armenia,” he said, stressing that he had many times voiced these rules.
“Each activity must be within the limits of corresponding law and of course taxes should be paid. You all should know, that the Government of Armenia will assist you if you respect these two rules,” he stressed.
The Prime Minister said he is very pleased with the outcome of the discussions which he said brought forth quite interesting initiatives.
“I welcome the creation of network of Francophone ministers responsible for innovative technology sphere,” he said, expressing gratitude to all the participants of the forum.
