Armenia’s NSS reveals espionage case by Azerbaijani intelligence service official

Armenia’s National Security Service has revealed a case of espionage committed by the official of intelligence service of Azerbaijan, NSS press service reports.

“With the assignment of the Azerbaijani intelligence service located in the territory of Turkey, a person, whose identity is not revealed yet, identifying himself as official of Armenia’s NSS, with the help of internet and personal contacts, convinced an Armenian citizen to provide him with the data of military units of Armenia, military equipment, including photos, which were provided to Azerbaijan,” the NSS press service reports.

A criminal proceeding has been instituted over the fact of espionage.
