Whole process of April war to be thoroughly examined, Serzh Sargsyan to be invited if necessary: lawmaker
The Investigative ad hoc committee set up to study all the circumstances of the April war will convene its first session today to clarify the agenda of the session, member of the Defense and Security Standing Committee Tigran Karapetyan told the reporters today.
“We will examine all the issues relating the April war,” Karapetyan said, adding that in case of necessity all will be invited for interrogation, including former president.
“We will not hesitate to invite anyone. We will examine the whole process. In case of necessity we will invite Serzh Sargsyan as well,” Karapetyan said, adding that there is no need to make suppositions now.
He stressed that the committee will not hesitate to invite Artsakh authorities as well.
“I think our Artsakh colleagues are also interested in getting answers to all the question.
This was stated by the Artsakh president’s spokesperson, so we do not have any issues here,” the members of the committee stressed.
Speaking about the work of the committee, the lawmaker said that issues of state secrecy may be discussed during the session, so the discussions will be closed. He also stressed that the public will be informed about the results at maximum permissible level.
