Armenia’s second president congratulates Artsakh president on 28th anniversary of independence of Artsakh
Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan addressed a congratulatory message to Artsakh president Bako Sahakyan on the occasion of 28th anniversary of independence of Artsakh.
Extending his congratulations, Kocharyan stressed the significance of the historic choice of the people of Artsakh almost 30 years ago and stressed the special role president Sahakyan had in the reinforcement of Artsakh statehood.
“Today Artsakh again is standing on the threshold of difficult challenge in conditions of unfinished war. The developments in Armenia which get their negative reflection on Artsakh must not split the people of Artsakh at the upcoming electoral fight. The military-political elite of Artsakh must exert best efforts for the domestic political developments not have any impact on the military potential of the country, national unity and victory spirit which has always been peculiar to the people of Artsakh. I am confident that the victorious people and its heroes cannot retreat in front of anyone, including the one sowing hatred, distorting history and carrying out destructive policy of annihilation of national values,” Kocharyan wrote in his address.
