Body of ex-chief of Armenia’s police Hayk Harutyunyan found with gun wound in his head

Body of ex-chief of Armenia’s police Hayk Harutyunyan was found in one of mansions in Bjni, Kotayk region, with a gun wound in his head, Investigative Committee’s press service told Aysor.am.

According to preliminary information, Kotayk regional police received a call on September 23 close to midnight.

The operative group dispatched at the scene found Harutyunyan’s body.

A criminal case has been executed under part 1 of Article 110 “Driving to suicide.”

Additional information will be given over the case.

Hayk Harutyunyan served as chief of Armenia's police from 2003-2008.
