Armenia’s SIS initiates criminal proceedings under the article on usurpation of power

Armenia’s Special Investigation Service has initiated a criminal proceedings under the article on usurpation of power.

“Lawmaker Arman Babajanyan addressed application to the prosecutor general reporting about crime committed by a group of people. On the basis of materials prepared at the Special Investigation Service a decision was made to initiate criminal proceedings under Article 300, part 1,” SIS press service reported.

Earlier Arman Babajanyan addressed an application to the prosecutor general reporting about a crime committed by the incumbent chairman of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan.

He claims that Tovmasyan has been elected with the violation of law.
