Ex-DM hails CC ruling, says their case should be terminated

The judge must say today her word and terminate the case due to absence of criminal features, ex-minister of defense Seyran Ohanyan told the reporters today.

“In any case I think the Constitutional Court’s ruling is right and again proves that we were politically persecuted by the 300.1 Article,” Ohanyan said.

The ex-minister said the footages relating to March 1, 2008 developments clearly show who provoked clashes.

“I think the judicial system must find out those guilty in the murders [ten murders on March 1, 2008],” Ohanyan said.

To note, the CC ruled that Article 300.1 of Armenia’s Criminal Code under which the ex-top officials are being persecuted is unconstitutional and invalid.
