750 Artsakh citizens killed, 83 missing in 44-day Artsakh war
Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan published today data on the killed, missing citizens of Artsakh during the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan.
According to it, 750 citizens of Artsakh have been killed – of which 81 civilians were killed as a result of bombing, shelling, shooting of Azeri subversive groups and 39 after being captured by Azeris and killed as a result of physical violence, stabbing, beheading, close shooting.
The ombudsman said 163 civilians received injuries, 83 are considered missing, of which 23 are civilians.
"23 of the 103 people captured and returned from captivity are citizens of the Artsakh Republic," he said.
