International lawyer urges EU to immediately halt support for Armenian authorities

International lawyer Robert Amsterdam stated that the Pashinyan government’s unlawful detention of Christian political prisoner Samvel Karapetyan and its actions against the Armenian Apostolic Church constitute serious violations of the rule of law.

“The EU should immediately suspend its financial support to the Armenian government and initiate urgent consultations to halt the illegal actions of the Armenian authorities.

Do not fund a government that lacks legitimacy,” Amsterdam said.
