Simonyan: We expect further demarcation soon and a situation similar to Kirants

National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan told reporters that there have been no changes in the border demarcation process.

“I must note that on some issues we are moving quickly, while on others the Azerbaijani side is in a hurry, but the process is ongoing. I believe that in the near future we will demarcate another section and achieve the same positive, constructive, and successful outcome that we have in the Kirants area. Kirants has become an exemplary case for us – one we present to our international partners and citizens,” Simonyan said.

He added that the situation in Kirants demonstrates what peace could look like.

When asked which specific section he was referring to, Simonyan said he could not provide details at this stage, including the timeline, but noted: “I think it will be in the first quarter of next year.”
