Armenia-France Defense Cooperation program for 2026 signed

Armenia-France bilateral strategic defense consultations were held in Paris on December 15-16, attended by a delegation led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

As part of the consultations, Levon Ayvazyan met with Guillaume Ollagnier, the newly appointed Director of the Department of International Relations and Strategy at the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. The Armenian delegation also held discussions with Lieutenant General Eric Patier, Deputy Director of the Department.

During the consultations, the work carried out within the framework of cooperation in 2025 was summarized, and plans for the next year were outlined.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic depth and institutional framework of Armenia-France defense cooperation.

As a result of the consultations, the Armenia-France Defense Cooperation Program for 2026 was signed. The program includes several dozen activities covering nearly all areas of the armed forces.

It was also agreed that the next round of strategic defense consultations will be held in Yerevan.
