“You should settle in Armenia, obtain RA citizenship:” Pashinyan announced the abandonment of the agenda of returning to Artsakh

Nikol Pashinyan called for learning from past mistakes and drawing conclusions. “I consider my mission to be leading the people out of the logic of martyrdom, and yes, we have achieved this today at the cost of numerous victims and sacrifices,” he stated while speaking to reporters.

Pashinyan emphasized that if the authorities now declare the adoption of an agenda aimed at the return of the Karabakh people, the key question is whether this would actually benefit them.

“That would mean condemning them to the status of permanent refugees, not knowing where they will live or whether they will have an address. I say clearly: that address is Armenia, with its internationally recognized sovereign territory,” he noted.

Pashinyan stated that he is directly saying that they are refusing the idea of returning to Karabakh.
“We say, dear sisters and brothers of Karabakh, you must settle in Armenia and obtain citizenship of the Republic of Armenia,” he emphasized.
