When the source of the threat is incorrectly defined, the defense also becomes flawed: Gagik Ghalachyan
The EU declares it intends to “protect” Armenia from Russia, while the real and immediate threats to Armenia come from Azerbaijan and Turkey through military, political, informational, and economic hybrid pressure. This was written by Ghalachyan, a member of the Board of the “Homeland” party and a former Deputy Foreign Minister.
“Simply substituting the real source of danger with a geopolitical agenda does not enhance security. On the contrary, it weakens the state and creates new vulnerabilities.
Armenia’s security architecture must be built on a clear understanding of actual threats, not on convenient formulations imposed by external centers,” Ghalachyan wrote.
