There have always been, are, and will be vile people whose sole aim is to please the authorities and seek favor; the ten bishops are among them – Aram Abrahamyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the bishops serving his political agenda have issued yet another divisive statement, said Aram Abrahamyan, editor-in-chief of the Aravot daily.

According to Abrahamyan, there have always been, and will continue to be, individuals whose primary concern is to ingratiate themselves with those in power and seek their favor.

“Those ten bishops are among such people. What was the purpose of this statement? First, the bishops signed yet another declaration of obedience, once again demonstrating their loyalty to Pashinyan. There were rumors that some of the ten had repented and that a split existed, but that is not the case. They remain faithful servants of Nikol Pashinyan.

The second objective was to spoil the Christmas spirit and fill our hearts with anger and resentment. This attempt will fail, because the faith of true believers is unshakable, and the Armenian Apostolic Church – which unites millions of Armenians – is unshakable,” Abrahamyan emphasized.
