Without equipment provided by Samvel Karapetyan, power outages would have lasted much longer

During the fires at the Vardashen substation, ENA’s management faced serious difficulties due to a lack of electrical equipment caused by poor management, former Acting General Director of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) David Ghazinyan told reporters.

According to Ghazinyan, the only viable option was to obtain the necessary equipment from the Tashir Group. “They requested it, and Mr. Karapetyan agreed through his lawyer to provide the equipment, considering that otherwise our citizens would have been without electricity for a long time,” he said.

Ghazinyan emphasized that the equipment would otherwise have had to be imported from abroad. “Just imagine the complications at Lars and elsewhere,” he added.
