The claim that I might flee is shameful and unacceptable: Vazgen Saghatelyan

The first court hearing in the case of Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan, co-authors of the Imnemnimi podcast, is ongoing.

During the hearing, the prosecutor requested that Vazgen Saghatelyan’s detention be extended for an additional three months.

Addressing the court, Vazgen Saghatelyan stated that he finds the allegation – that he might leave the country if released – deeply embarrassing.

“That is out of the question. I have not fled, and I have no intention of fleeing,” Saghatelyan said.
