“Be vigilant, attentive, and responsible”: Winter conscription begins in Berd

The 2026 winter conscription officially began today in the Berd community. The first group of conscripts from Berd, who will serve in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, departed for compulsory military service.

Father Aram Mirzoyan, spiritual pastor of the city of Berd and surrounding villages, recited the Lord’s Prayer and offered his blessing and best wishes to the conscripts.

Community head Astghik Hakobyan wished the young men a peaceful and trouble-free service and a safe return:

“Dear parents, on behalf of the community, I thank you for raising patriotic sons.

Dear conscripts, today it is your turn to take on the sacred mission of defending the homeland. I am confident you will fulfill this duty with dignity, because the blood of the brave people of Tavush flows through your veins.

Dear boys, I urge you to be vigilant, attentive, responsible, and caring toward one another and the homeland. May God’s blessing and our prayers be with you. May you serve in peace, return safely to your homes, build your future, and make your families flourish. Long live you, and long live the Armenian Army.”
