Since declaring a hunger strike, no action of this anti-democratic regime can surprise or frighten me – political prisoner Narek Samsonyan
“Warm greetings from the punishment cell corps of the “Armavir” Penitentiary Institution. I was informed that my defense attorney, Ruben Melikyan’s post about my transfer to a punishment cell to ensure the continuation of my hunger strike has caused concern among many.
On this occasion, I want to tell everyone that it is more honorable for me to hold this hunger strike in conditions not provided for by law. Each subsequent step taken by these authorities against me is inherently more despicable, more pathetic, and more revealing of their fears. But they do not realize that after each step, I feel stronger and more convinced of the correctness of the path I have chosen.
I also read the comment issued by the Penitentiary Service, and I want to state briefly that it is not true that the cells of the punishment corps do not differ in their conditions from other cells. I do not complain about any conditions; for me, even being in a four-square-meter cell is greater freedom than the daily life of each of these officials. Therefore, dear people, remain calm for me. I do not complain about my health. My will is firm, my determination unshakable, and simply putting up with captivity is impossible.
Since the decision to declare a hunger strike, no action by this anti-democratic regime can surprise me or even frighten me.
Stay well.
Freedom to all political prisoners.
Determination, self-sacrifice, victory!!!
