SU-30 fighters can play a major role in protecting the territorial integrity of our country: Minister (Video)

Today we have certain armaments, including some that we expect to receive, RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan said at a meeting with reporters.

“The SU-30 fighters are highly capable, and I greatly value their role. I believe they can play a major part in both the air defense and the territorial integrity of our country,” Papikyan added.

Regarding plans to increase numbers, the minister suggested not disclosing information on weapons and military equipment purchases at this time.

“But I assure you that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia will continue to be equipped with the latest technology. Acquiring modern, NATO-standard equipment does not mean we are abandoning our existing weapons. We will continue to update and adapt them to work alongside the new systems,” the minister said.
