Trump’s personal involvement played a decisive role – Pashinyan congratulates the region, as well as the US and the EU, on the TRIPP project

The processes indicate that positive outcomes are still ahead, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the discussion “Armenia and Peace at the Crossroads of Risks and Opportunities.”

“I had the opportunity to congratulate the people of Armenia on the statement issued by the RA and U.S. governments following yesterday’s meeting between the Foreign Minister and the U.S. Secretary of State regarding the TRIPP project. I also want to congratulate all the supporters of the peace process and institutionalization between the RA and Azerbaijan in our region. … I also want to congratulate the U.S. and the EU,” he said.

According to Pashinyan, while the world is being shaken, Armenia and the region are gradually moving toward a secure environment.

“This is a very significant achievement. Essentially, it provides a green light for long-term and sustainable peace in the region. I would like to emphasize the role of U.S. President Donald Trump, whose personal interest and involvement have undoubtedly been crucial. We also need to consider the next steps,” he said.
